Choose your book
1. We've got a lot of photo book types and designs to choose from, ranging in size option! Once you've chosen the book size, format and cover design that you'd like, you can click 'Create yours' when you're ready to begin editing! Some of our designs may also offer the option for foiling.
Please note that while you're able to adjust your colour and cover design selection after beginning to edit, once you've chosen the size of your photo book, you cannot return to change it without starting the whole book again. Your photos will be uploaded to the specific product template chosen. It isn't possible to transfer the images over from product to product without starting from scratch.
Upload Your Photos
2. You'll then be prompted to upload your photos from your device. If you've uploaded images to your Papier Photo Library before, you'll also have the option to add from there. To find out what kind of photo you should upload click here.
Once you select your images and upload to your photo library, you'll be given the option to autofill your book, or select individual page layouts and place images from scratch.
As you're working on your book, your uploaded images be accessed at the bottom of your screen by clicking the 'Photos' button. You can add images on the full list screen, or by clicking into each individual page of the book. To add a photo to a page, please tap and hold the intended photo and then drag to the page. If you decide you want to switch to a different photo for a particular page, you can either click 'remove' to remove the original photo, or you can simple tap, hold and drag on a new photo to swap out!
When you're ready to edit the cover, click onto the cover page to add in a cover photo and adjust the personalized text. You can tap the default, sample text to pull up an 'Edit text' button where you can add in your own personalisation, as well as use some other formatting options such as font color, alignnment, font style, and sizing.
Saving Your Project
3. We recommend saving your progress frequently as you're working on your photo book to avoid any potential loss in work. You can find the 'Save' button at the bottom of the screen while on both individual pages and the main full book view.
Edit Your Photos and Pages
4. When on an individual photo book page, you can add photos, select from different page layouts, and most recently, page backgrounds as well!
When you'd like to make a change to a photo, you can use the editing tools above the image to rotate or remove the photo from the page. You can also tap, hold and drag a different photo from your library to the page to swap out.
Please note, if you're looking for more editing options such as changing an image to black and white, we suggest using a desktop or laptop computer to edit your photo book project, as our mobile/tablet editor does not have this functionality.
You can also use the 'Move pages' button on the main full page view to rearrange page spreads.
Add Captions
5. You can also add captions to some page layouts when available! The ability to add captions is available on the majority of our page layouts, but not all. If you see 'Captions unavailable' on a particular page layout, unfortunately captions cannot be added at this time.
However, if you see 'Captions disabled' above the layout option, you can click the toggle bar to the right of the text to enable captions for that particular page layout and add in your personalisation. To see more on this, click here.
Add or Remove Pages
6. To add more pages, you need to go back to the page list view. You should see the option to add pages in between each page spread. By clicking this button, you'll be able to select how many page pairs you'd like to add for an extra fee.
7. To remove pages, again you must be on the full page list view. You can delete a spread by clicking on the red trash bin icon. You cannot delete a single page - you must delete the two-page spread.
Please note that as there is a minimum page quantity, it is not possible to delete pages if you have not added any to begin with.
Complete Your Order
8. Once you've finished editing, you can either click 'Save' to come back to later, or 'Order' to complete your order. You can also share the project with someone else if you'd like!
